Will Ospreay Claims AEW World Championship at All In, Defeating Kenny Omega in Historic Wembley Showdown

Will Ospreay arrived at Wembley Stadium, preparing to confront a pivotal moment in his career. Backstage, he exchanged acknowledgements with fellow wrestlers such as Zack Sabre Jr., Ricochet, and Swerve Strickland before making his way towards the entrance ramp.

Before his entrance music began, Ospreay shared a good-luck kiss with his wife, Alex Windsor, and then received the Union Jack flag from Jon Moxley.

A Grand Entrance and Deep-Seated Rivalry

With the enthusiastic support of his home crowd, Ospreay stepped forward to challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All In. This encounter represented the most significant event of the year and arguably the most crucial match of Ospreay’s professional journey. The long-standing rivalry between Ospreay and Omega had previously captivated audiences with their memorable contests in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

An Intense Championship Bout Unfolds

From the outset, Omega sought to secure a swift victory, employing aggressive tactics that included striking Ospreay with a TV monitor, causing him to bleed, and then delivering a powerbomb through a table. Despite the injury, Ospreay showcased remarkable resilience, retaliating with a powerful Hidden Blade that left Omega visibly wounded.

Both competitors displayed an unwavering determination, refusing to yield. Even when the referee began a count-out on Omega, he actively attempted to halt the official. Ospreay landed another Hidden Blade, yet it was insufficient to secure the victory. He then executed a Styles Clash on Omega, but still failed to achieve the decisive pinfall.

The match progressed with a series of intense exchanges. Omega connected with a V Trigger, followed by a Tiger Driver ’91. A second V Trigger set up Omega’s signature One-Winged Angel, which he landed cleanly before attempting the pin. Remarkably, Ospreay managed to kick out, prolonging the contest.

The significance of the AEW World Championship was evident in the relentless efforts of both men. Omega delivered another V Trigger, but Ospreay steadfastly refused to be kept down. As Omega prepared for yet another One-Winged Angel, Ospreay seized the opportunity, countering the move and delivering his own Tiger Driver to Omega.

The captivated audience erupted into chants of "This is awesome!" as the two exhausted wrestlers slowly rose to their feet. Both appeared to be at their physical limits; Ospreay struggled to land a single punch, and Omega was too disoriented to immediately capitalize.

Omega attempted one final V Trigger, but Ospreay intercepted him. In a surprising turn, Ospreay executed Omega's own finishing maneuver, yet it only resulted in a one-count. He then followed up with a Stormbreaker, again only achieving a one-count. The resilience displayed by both competitors left spectators wondering what it would take to end the brutal encounter.

A Historic Victory at Wembley

With bloodied hair obscuring his vision, Ospreay delivered one last devastating Hidden Blade to Omega. This time, he secured the pinfall, earning the victory.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Ospreay was officially declared the new champion. This momentous achievement established him as the first Englishman to win a world championship on British soil, marking the beginning of his reign as the AEW World Champion.
