New York Resident Sues ICE After Federal Agents Warn Him Over Email Criticizing Agency Leadership
A New Yorker has filed a lawsuit against Immigration and Customs Enforcement, alleging federal officers visited his home to deliver a warning about an email he sent criticizing agency tactics.

A resident of New York has initiated legal action against federal authorities following an incident where officers reportedly visited his home to issue a warning. The action stemmed from an email he had sent months earlier, which criticized the leadership of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding the agency's operational methods in immigration raids.
The individual, identified as Streever, was on a trip to Finland with his seven-year-old daughter when two officers reportedly appeared at his residence. They presented his wife with a warning notice, indicating that an email Streever had dispatched several months prior was deemed a threat.

Streever's email, sent in January, was addressed to Todd Lyons, who was then serving as ICE's acting director. The communication followed an incident in Minneapolis where an ICE agent shot and killed U.S. citizen Renee Nicole Good during an immigration raid.
In the message, Streever expressed strong condemnation, stating to Lyons that he was “a monstrous human being” who “will never know peace.” The email further asserted that Lyons “will go down in history as America's Reinhard Heydrich, the butcher,” referencing a prominent Nazi official.

You will seek to lose yourself, to escape the burden of knowing the truth about yourself. But wherever you go, you will find yourself. You will torment yourself until your last day on Earth.
When federal officers arrived at Streever's home, his wife answered the door and was given a
