Juror in Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial Speaks Publicly After Hung Jury Declares Mistrial

PLYMOUTH, Mass. — The lone juror who dissented from the other eleven, steadfastly maintaining his conviction that former Massachusetts nurse Lindsay Clancy was guilty of murder, has delivered his most direct public address. This marks the first occasion Michael Desronvil has spoken openly without an intermediary, following the mistrial declared earlier this month.

Desronvil, whose current location is reportedly undisclosed, offered brief personal reflections.

"I want to thank God for my Catholic faith," he stated softly. "I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual, that has supported me throughout this difficult situation."

Previously, Desronvil had conveyed statements through his attorney, Edward Paltzik, and in conversations with YouTuber Ray Marcel, known online as FugitiveTV. These earlier remarks primarily focused on defending himself against accusations made by several other jurors.

Allegations and Denials

In a series of interviews conducted after the mistrial on September 4, Desronvil faced allegations from fellow jurors, who claimed he was determined to find Clancy guilty despite allegedly harboring his own reasonable doubts regarding the prosecution's evidence. Desronvil has consistently refuted these claims.

He also addressed a local news report that brought up prior domestic violence allegations against him, offering a strong denial.

"Every single allegation against Michael is false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false," he asserted. "It just didn’t happen."

Escalating Legal Conflict

A contentious verbal exchange has developed between Desronvil's attorney, Paltzik, and Clancy's defense attorney, Kevin Reddington. Reddington notably referred to Desronvil as "the obstructionist juror" and has formally requested the court initiate an inquiry into the allegations from other jurors, who contend Desronvil failed to uphold the law during deliberations.

Upcoming Court Proceedings

Clancy is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday for a status conference. Prosecutors are anticipated to provide an update on their intentions for a new trial. Concurrently, Clancy's defense team has submitted motions seeking to dismiss the charges entirely and calling for an investigation into the allegations made by other jurors against Desronvil.
